You may feel depressed, anxious, hopeless, sad, or frustrated at some stage in your life.  Sometimes this can feel endless and result in feeling alone and stuck. It can be related to a particular life event, other times it can seem to come from nowhere.

Psychotherapy provides a safe, supportive and confidential place to talk about your thoughts and feelings. Together, we may discover an understanding of why you may be repeating negative patterns, or experiencing difficulty in relationships with family, friends and at work. This can lead to a new self-awareness, contributing to making positive changes in your life.

ABOUT

ABOUT

QUALIFICATIONS

I am a qualified and experienced psychodynamic psychotherapist and counsellor with a practice in Islington. I have been working in private practice, for the NHS, and for clinical and charitable organisations since 1998, with people with a range of different issues, affecting their ability to live their lives to the full.

Both experience and research shows me that talking together through past and present events can facilitate self awareness and meaningful change, leading to better personal and professional relationships.

Each therapy is unique to the individual. My approach is collaborative, and I work alongside my clients to help them understand themselves, their feelings and their circumstances better. Rather than giving advice, I aim to foster a working relationship in which my client feels heard and understood, and gradually empowered to take more charge of aspects of their life which may have felt out of their control.

I offer a safe and non-judgmental space to talk through thoughts and feelings, including awareness of the social and cultural experiences that my clients bring.

FEES

FEES

I offer once and twice a week individual long-term in-depth work, either in person or online. Ongoing therapy sessions are 50 minutes long at the same time each week.

The best way to get started is to email or call me and we can make an appointment for an initial consultation to consider your needs. Initial consultations offer 50 minutes to explore what brings you to therapy and space to think together about the way forward. If it seems necessary this will take place over two appointments.

We will discuss the fee for your therapy when we meet for your initial consultation. Some reduced fee sessions are available for students or those on a lower income.

The charge for the initial consultation is £90.
